Sekonda began with a small collection of Russian mechanical watches, and soon became a household name. Throughout the 1960s the Sekonda brand grew, moving its offices to a larger site in Leicester which is where the brand is still based today.

Sekonda introduced more styles to their lines, influenced by the fashion market providing stylish watches at great value. In 1988, Sekonda became the UK's bestselling watch brand and held this title for 31 consecutive years.
